The DUI Guy in a Barbie Car

Former Royal Air Force Engineer Paul Hutton got pulled over for drunk driving on a modified Barbie car. He said, “Originally it was a pink Barbie car, but I put bigger wheels on it but it's not fast. You have to be a contortionist to get in, and then you can't get out.”

Hutton lost his license because he had a previous drunk driving conviction.

(The real clincher: the car was impounded by police.)

13-Year-Olds Can’t Drive… Unless Their Parents Are Drunk

Heather Choulos and Donald Hughes ended up in jail because San Anselmo, CA police officers saw their Land Rover stopped in the middle of a street. So why was it stopped in the middle of a busy roadway?

Choulos’ 13-year-old son had been driving because his mom and her boyfriend had too much to drink at dinner and asked him to get behind the wheel. Like most 13-year-olds, the poor kid didn’t know the brake from the gas.

Bored After a Crash? Have Another Beer!

New Zealander Paul Sneddon flipped his car because he was too drunk to drive, and the worst part was that he was trapped inside. When police arrived, they found him sipping another beer—about which he said, “I was lying there, trying to get the doors open but couldn't. I remember the inside light not working and thinking, It's not like I'm going to read a book, so I opened another can.’”

The Drunk Driving Domino Effect

When a 15-year-old New Zealand boy was stopped and arrested for drunk driving in South Canterbury, he called his mom to pick him up. (Kids are allowed to drink in New Zealand, but not to get drunk or drive.) She picked him up without a hitch… but police stopped her for DUI on the way home.

Not to be left at the police station with her 15-year-old son, the dutiful mama called her husband to pick them both up.

You guessed it: he was arrested for drunk driving on his way. Now it’s a family affair.
