Police can instantly track when shots are fired from a gun in Milwaukeeby Gamino Law Offices on 06/11/13
A new technology is being used by Milwaukee police to respond to the scene as soon as a gun is fired. Milwaukee police have software connected to sensors to triangulate the location of where a gun is fired. The information is processed within seconds and sent to software equipped squad cars in the area. This new technology reduced response time to within minutes of the gun being fired, rather than waiting for a 911 call reporting gunfire. Police report that this technology has resulted in a likelihood that they will arrive on the scene to confront the shooter while armed, and have even arrived while shots were still being fired.
