Divorce rates are climbing among baby boomers
by Gamino Law Offices on 06/13/13Statistics gathered from a poll of nationwide divorce lawyers has shown that longer lives and the ease of completing a divorce is resulting in an increase in divorce rates among people over age 50. Experienced family law attorneys and divorce lawyers recognize that often these divorces have reduced conflict as children may be grown and out of the house, resulting in less child support disputes and fights over placement and custody. However, divorces among couples who are empty nesters often involve more property and business interests that need to be equitably divided.
